I got this cel mainly because I thought it was very pretty. The details on the wreath are very fine and delicate. This cel comes from towards the end of the movie. Many years have passed and Leila has died. A large group of people are throwing carnations on her grave, fulfilling her wish that someone would leave her flowers after she is gone.

This was one of the hardest cels I’ve tried to piece together in a long time. I almost gave up since I figured few people would even be interested in this scene. The size, position and detail of the wreath is what made it especially hard. There was no way I could simply piece it together with the wreath on one scan and the rest on the other. I ended up having to use a ruler to measure the edges (to prevent any angle differences between the two separate scans).
