I never expected to buy an OVA cel. Although the stories are better and Miyu is more mysterious, I still feel they are overpriced. When this auction showed up on Yahoo Japan, I expected it to go quite high. It never did and I decided to throw in a bid for the heck of it. I was amazed that I was able to get it for so little. I admit that on the surface its not a particularly exciting cel, but it comes an important part in the story. This shows Miyu drinking Larva’s blood.

The TV and the OVA differ quite a bit on the details of this event. In the TV show, Miyu is already an eternal guardian and full fledged vampire when she meets Larva. In the OVA, she is still a normal high school student who is not aware of her heritage. She surprises both Larva and herself when she bites him and drinks his blood. The OVA also implies that Larva had something to do with the creation of Miyu’s family, but never clearly explains it.
