I have always preferred collecting cels over collecting sketches. The main reason has been because of color. I guess there is a second and more practical reason as well. Since sketches are not the final product, it can be much more difficult to confirm their authenticity. Fortunately, there are still some types of sketches that avoid this problem. Layouts make it a lot easier to track down exactly where it has been used.
